CWM CDC invites you to join Joan Ilacqua, Executive Director of The History Project for a photographic presentation on the history of Pride in Boston, with a focus on Boston's BIPOC LGBTQ activists and organizations. From rebellions that pre-date the Stonewall Riots to current movement-building, we'll discuss how Pride in Massachusetts has evolved since the early days of the Gay Liberation Movement.
Joan Ilacqua is Executive Director of The History Project: Documenting LGBTQ Boston. She previously served on the organization's Board of Directors and as Harvard Medical School's Archivist for Diversity and Inclusion. She holds a Master of Public History from UMass Boston. The History Project is Boston's community LGBTQ archives. A volunteer-driven 501(c)3 organization founded in 1980, our mission is to document, preserve, and share LGBTQ history.
